Homam Movie Review *ing Jagapathi Babu, J.D.Chakravarthy
The movie is good with its different story .. Once can not stop from saying that the movie is a copy of the movie Departed .
The good guy Malik(Jagapathi Babu),who wants to become a Cop but has a bad history of his father . The bad guy Chandu(J.D.Chakravarthy) who is brought up by a Under world don who he calls him "Daddy" . Malik is asked to go as an under cover cop in to the Don's team by Vishwanath(Pradeep Rawat) and Chandu enters in to the police camp . Both of them will be trying to pass on the information for the other group . Both the teams come to know about this and things become tough for both the Guys . How Chandu gets caught forms the rest of the Story .
The movie is well made ..Congrats for Chakri who directed the film will .This is not a normal masala movie and it might not go well in B and C centers . But this film should do well in A centers . The songs are not up to the mark , and the editing is good . The first half is fast and and the second half becomes a bit slow .The director should have taken bit more care in the second half .
Coming to Acting, Jagapathi babu is of top notch . His acting as an under cover cop is really good . J.D did his job well as bad guy . Mamata Mohandas has a limited role and the other characters go well with the story .
I was actually half minded to go for this movie , but took the call thinking about DilRaju who has taken rights of the movie . And i am not disappointed atall . It was a good call for him .
The film can be taken in Hindi with a even better editing . Surely stuff for bollywood with a good multiplex audiences reach
Overall a good watch for the weekend .
